PBS members can get a discount to a special blues show, featuring Taj Mahal and Keb' Mo', happening at the Celebrity Theatre on June 23rd. Reserved price tickets are $100, $75, $55 & $45. March 22, 2008 - PBS meeting at the Rhythm Room, featuring Long John Hunter and the Bad News Blues Band. Meeting starts at 8:30 pm. Admission for PBS members - $6. April 6, 2008 - PBS meeting at Hammerhead Jack's, 6900 E. Cave Creek Rd., Cave Creek, featuring Soulcatcher. Music starts at 2:00 pm. Free admission -- all-ages. May 9, 2008 - PBS meeting at the Rhythm Room, featuring Cold Shott & the Hurricane Horns with special guests. Meeting starts at 8:30 pm. Admission for PBS members - $5.
The Flamekeepers are hosting a Reunion Benefit at the El Dorado Bar & Grill this Sunday, March 9th from noon until 6:00 pm. Also appearing will be Blind Ronnie's House of Blues, Hemi Dave, The Redemptors, and Off the Record. In addition to the music, there will also be a raffle and a tasty pasta dinner. Proceeds go to help out a friend of the band who just lost her daughter. The Rhythm Room All-Stars, with Big Pete Pearson, are doing two nights at the Rhythm Room on Friday & Saturday, March 7th & 8th. Jimmy Peyton's Midnite Blues will be doing their usual Friday night gig at 26th Street Blues on March 7th. J. Powers Band is performing at Uncle Charlie's in Glendale on Friday, March 7th, and at Stingers Sat, also in Glendale, on Saturday, March 8th. On Wednesday, March 12th, the band will do an 8:00 pm show at Apollo's, 7th St. south of Bethany Home Rd. Hans Olson is doing the weekly Sunday brunch at Sugar Daddy's, and continues to hold down the regular Thursday night show at Pranksters Too, Hayden & Thomas in Scottsdale, from 8:00 pm until midnight. Gypsy's Juke Rockers is doing two nights at the Alamo in Fountain Hills on Friday & Saturday, March 7th & 8th. Sage Gentle-Wing is at the Coffee Plantation, Shea & Scottsdale Rd., on Saturday, March 8th at 7:30 pm. He's also got a regular Thursday night gig at the Euphoria Bistro and Bar, 829 S. Rural Rd., beginning at 8:00 pm. The Smokin' Section Band play in Tucson at Ventana Canyon Resort from 10:00 pm until 1:00 am on Friday, March 7th, and at the Stadium Grille at 9:00 pm on Saturday, March 8th. -----------------------------------------------
