Arizona Blues Showdown apps available

The Arizona Blues Showdown is scheduled for September 28th & October 5th, 2008 at the Rhythm Room. Deadline for entry is September 9th. Download the Application and Rules for the contest. (The App and Rules are also available in pdf format).

PBS Membership Meeting

The August PBS meeting will be held Saturday night, August 23rd at Lucille's at Tempe Marketplace, from 6:00 - 10:00 pm. Appearing that night will be the Top Cats.. We hope to see you there!

Cold Shott & the Hurricane Horns are doing two nights at Harrah's Ak-Chin Casino on Friday & Saturday, August 1st and 2nd, beginning both nights at 8:00 pm

HoneyBoy Dupree & the Smokehouse Players are at Pappadeux's Seafood Restaurant from 6:00 to 10:00 pm on Friday, August 1st. Special guest with the band will be sax wizard Rich Arnold.

Loose Cannons Blues Band play at Pappadeux's Seafood Restaurant the next night, Saturday, August 2nd, from 6:00 to 10:00 pm.

The Rhythm Room is hosting a CD Release Party for the new disc by Chris James & Patrick Rynn on Friday & Saturday, August 1st & 2nd. Special guests include legendary drummer Sam Lay, Bob Corritore, Bob Riedy and Eddie Kobek.

Jimmy Peyton's Midnite Blues will be doing their usual Friday night show at 26th Street Blues on August 1st.

The Smoking Section Band are playing at the Cascade Lounge at Ventana Canyon, Tucson, at 10:00 pm on Friday, August 1st, and at Montgomery's Grill in Vail, AZ at 7:30 pm on Saturday, August 2nd.
