The May meeting is scheduled for Saturday, May 26th, 8:30 pm, at Jay's Cocktails, 3208 West Indian School Road, Phoenix. Appearing after the meeting will be the Chuck Ziegler Band. Free admission. We hope to see you there!
Cold Shot and the Hurricane Horns is hosting the annual Customer Appreciation Celebration at Nello's Pizza, 2950 S. Alma School Rd., Mesa, on Sunday, May 6th from 4:00 until 8:00 pm. This great event is one of the local scene's best annual blues parties! The Cold Shott gang will also be appearing at Anthem's "Music in May" concert series at 7:00 pm on Saturday, May 5th at the Anthem Community Park Amphitheatre, 41703 N. Gavilan Peak Parkway in Anthem. Blues guitarist Bob Margolin hits the Rhythm Room for a special show on Saturday, May 5th. Joining Steady Rollin' Bob on this night will be Houston singer Diunna Greenleaf and harmonica player Bob Corritore. PBS members receive a $2 discount at the door for this show. Big Pete Pearson Blues Band plays the Rhythm Room on Friday, May 4th. Jimmy Peyton's Midnite Blues is doing the normal Friday night show at 26th Street Blues on May 4th. Bluzone is playing at Jay's Cocktails on Saturday, May 5th. One Class Act continues to traverse the state, starting out this weekend at Pinon Pines in Prescott from 9:00 pm until 1:00 am on Friday, May 4th. The band will be doing afternoon gigs at the Spirit Room in Jerome on Saturday & Sunday, May 5th & 6th from 2:00 - 6:00 pm both days. They appear Saturday night, May 5th at Kactus Kate's Saloon in Cottonwood from 8:30 pm until 12:30 am.
