The next Blues Blast is scheduled for Saturday, February 23rd from 12:00 noon until 8:00 pm, at the Mesa Amphitheatre. Please take note that this year's show will be held on a Saturday instead of on Sunday. Appearing will be Walter Trout & the Radicals, Deanna Bogart, Harper, Eden Brent, Chuck Hall, Delta Highway, Big Daddy D & the Dynamites, and Soulcatcher. Blues Blast 2008 tickets are now on sale! The advance ticket price is $20.00 for adults and $18.00 for PBS members and group tickets (6 or more - purchased at the Mesa Amphitheater Box Office). Tickets are available at the Mesa Amphitheatre box office (602-644-2560) and from all Ticketmaster outlets (480-784-4444). Complete details on Blues Blast are available at www.bluesblast.info. PBS favorite Johnny Rawls is appearing at the Rhythm Room on Sunday, December 30th. Acoustic music fans won't want to miss Jay Dow's Acoustic Blues Showcase at the Rhythm Room on Wednesday, January 2nd, featuring Jay Dow, Mikel Lander and Nina Curri. Bluzone is doing shows this weekend at Uncle Charlie's American Grill (53rd Ave. & Bell Rd.) on Friday, December 28th and at Jay's Cocktails on Saturday, December 29th. Hans Olson plays at Westgate Center, Glendale at 6:00 pm on Friday, December 28th, at Lucille's Bar-B-Q, Tempe, with Mike Howard at 6:00 pm on Saturday, December 29th, and at the 10-12 Lounge, Clarkdale, on Sunday, December 30th. Big Nick & the Gila Monsters will be at Frasher's Steakhouse in Scottsdale on Sunday, December 30th at 7:00 pm. Jimmy Peyton's Midnite Blues will be doing their usual Friday night gig at 26th Street Blues on December 28th. Big Pete Pearson Blues Band performs at the Rhythm Room on Friday, December 28th, followed the next night, Saturday, December 29th, by Patté Williams. Sage Gentle-Wing has a full slate of shows this weekend leading up to New Year's Eve. He appears at Coffee Plantation at Biltmore Fashion Park from 7:30 to 10:30 pm on Friday, December 28th, followed by a 2:00 pm performance at Bookman's in Mesa on Saturday, December 29th, and finally at Pier 54, Tempe, at 7:00 pm on Saturday, December 29th. New Year's Eve (Monday, December 31st) blues shows:
