PBS Membership Meeting

Zac Harmon

The August meeting is scheduled for Saturday, August 4th, 8:30 pm, at the Rhythm Room. Appearing after the meeting will be Zac Harmon, who appeared at last February's Blues Blast 2007.

PBS members can stay for the show for a discounted cover charge of only $5.

Around Town

One Class Act is playing at the Mogollon Lounge in Strawberry from 9:00 pm until 1:00 am on Saturday, July 28th. The next night they return to the Valley to host one of the periodic Sunday Showcase events at the Rhythm Room on July 29th from 8:00 pm until midnight, with many other acts appearing.

Sistah Blue is at the Rhythm Room on Friday, July 27th, with San Diego's The Fremonts coming in to the Rhythm Room the next night, Saturday, July 28th, with guest harmonica player Bob Corritore.

Honeyboy Dupree & the Smokehouse Players is doing the 6:00 pm dinner show at Pappadeaux's Seafood Restaurant on Friday, July 27th.

Jimmy Peyton's Midnite Blues is doing the regular Friday night gig at 26th Street Blues on July 27th.

Hans Olson appears every Thursday night at Pranksters Too (SW corner of Thomas Rd. & Scottsdale Rd.), from 8:00 pm until midnight. Hans also has a new address for his website --- www.hansolson.net.

Sage Gentle Wing is at the Coffee Plantation, Biltmore Fashion Park, on Friday, July 27th from 7:30 to 10:30 pm.

Blues Cubed plays in Tucson at The Lookout Bar & Grille at the Westward Look Resort on Friday & Saturday, July 27th & 28th. Showtime both nights is at 8:30 pm.

56 Deluxe, another Tucson band, does the blues and barbeque thing at the Boondocks, 3306 North 1st Avenue, from 6:00 until 9:00 pm on Sunday, July 29th.
