The big show this weekend is the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame induction ceremony at the Rhythm Room on Sunday, May 7th from 4:00 pm until midnight. Admission is only $5. Being inducted this year are Ted Kowal, George Bowman, Jim Dorholt, Danny Rhodes, King Karl, and Sidney George. A long list of musicians will be performing throughout the day. Check the ABHOF website for details and schedule. Legendary blues singer Bobby "Blue" Bland is appearing at the Rhythm Room, presented by Live Nation, on Thursday, May 11th. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $35 in advance and $36 on the day of the show. Advance tickets can be purchased at the bar or from all Ticketmaster outlets (480-784-4444). Jimmy Peyton's Midnite Blues is at 26th Street Blues, 2547 E. Indian School Rd., on Friday & Saturday, May 5th & 6th, beginning both nights at 9:00 pm. Special guest on Friday will be Hans Olson. Cold Shott & The Hurricane Horns plays at Shenanigan's on Friday, May 5th at 9:00 pm and at String Chemistry, with special guest Jerry Lawson, on Saturday, May 6th at 10:00 pm. Bluzone is playing at the re-opened Territorial Saloon in Cave Creek on Friday, May 5th.

has a two-night stand at
Pat Murphy's, 3215 E. Thomas Rd., on Friday & Saturday, May 5th &
6th, from 8:30 pm until 12:30 am. Tucson happenings
The Night Owls and "Midnight" make up the big double
bill at Frog & Firkin, 874 E University, Tucson, on Saturday, May
6th from 9:00 pm to midnight.
The
Smoking Section is playing a Cinco de Mayo party at the
Javelina Cantina on Friday, May 5th from 6:00 until 9:00 pm. The
Cantina is located in the Doubletree Hotel on Alvernon Way just
south of Broadway Road in Tucson. The band will also be at Acacia at
St. Phillips Plaza on Saturday, May 6th from 7:00 to 10:00 pm. Blues Jams For a complete listing of jams in the Phoenix area,
