Hans Olson has a new steady gig every Thursday night at Pranksters Too, located in Scottsdale at the southwest corner of Hayden & Thomas Rds. The venerable Mr. Olson will also be at the Rhythm Room on Wednesday, March 22nd. Blind Dog Band is playing the Phoenix Folk Festival at Encanto Park on Sunday, March 19th, playing acoustic on the main stage and co-hosting the acoustic blues jam. Cold Shott & The Hurricane Horns has a two-night gig at Harrah's Ak-Chin Casino from 8:00 pm until 1:00 am on Friday, March 17th and Saturday, March 18th. One Class Act hosts a St. Patty's Day party at Geordie's at the Wrigley Mansion on Friday, March 17th from 9:00 pm until 1:00 am. On Saturday, March 18th the band will be holding down the 10:30 pm slot at String Chemistry. Wrapping up the weekend, they head north to Prescott for an afternoon show at The Bird Cage on Sunday, March 19th from 3:00 until 7:00 pm. Jimmy Peyton's Midnite Blues is at 26th Street Blues, 2547 E. Indian School Rd., on Friday & Saturday, March 17th and 18th from 9:00 pm until 1:00 am. The bar will be serving corned beef sandwiches and cabbage on Friday night. Saturday nights at 26th Street Blues are now "ladies nights." Common Ground Blues Band is playing at CK's on Saturday, March 18th. Sistah Blue appears at the Rhythm Room on Friday, March 17th. Sam Taylor and Heather Hardy will be at the Rhythm Room the next night, Saturday, March 18th. Mikel Lander plays at Stinkweeds, 12 W. Camelback, every Sunday from noon until 2:00 pm.

historically-significant former Warsaw Wally's location, now has a
website. Check
it out for everything happening at this blues venue. Looking to jam? A new
site
dedicated to listing blues jams in the Phoenix area has been put up by
bassist Ray Ray. The Sidewinders Blues Band is described at "blues with a
bite." Check out their

King Gypsy Caravan features a St. Louis / New Orleans harp and
soul man now leading his band of gypsies around Arizona and Nevada.
