PBS Membership Meeting

The December meeting will be held on Saturday, December 16th at Skipper's Lounge, 6124 N. 43rd Avenue, in Glendale. No cover charge. Appearing will the J. Powers Band. Come on out for a fun evening and a chance to win concert tickets for the upcoming Chicago Blues Reunion show at the Rhythm Room on January 6th.

Around Town

Big Nick & the Gila Monsters and their reptilian blues gang invade the Rhythm Room on Saturday, December 16th.

One Class Act travels to the outer suburbs for a show at Caroline's, 12872 E Ave of Fountains, Fountain Hills on Friday, December 15th beginning at 9:00 pm, and then plays at CK's at 9:30 pm on Saturday, December 16th.

Jimmy Peyton's Midnite Blues is at 26th Street Blues, 2547 E. Indian School Rd., on Friday, December 15th.

Bad News Blues Band heads up the road from Tucson for a gig at the Rhythm Room on Friday, December 15th.

Blues Times Two returns to the Teeter House in historic downtown Phoenix for a 7:00 pm show on Friday, December 15th.

Cold Shott & the Hurricane Horns is doing a special gig at the Lake Pleasant Marina on Saturday, December 16th, from 6:00 until 10:00 pm. It's the annual Marina Membership Party.

Chico Chism & the Flamekeepers is at Famous Sam's, 250 S. Phelps in Apache Junction on Friday, December 15th from 9:00 until midnight. The band is also at the El Dorado Bar & Grill jam session every Wednesday night for the remainder of the month; jam time is from 7:00 until 11:00 pm. Finally, the Flamekeepers would like to remind all blues fans about the upcoming Chico Chism Christmas Party at the Rhythm Room on Friday, December 22nd.

Big Pete Pearson Blues Band, with special guest Bob Corritore will be in concert at the West Valley Art Museum, 17420 W. Avenue of the Arts, Surprise, on Saturday, December 16th. The event starts at 7:00 pm; admission is $10 for adults, $3 for children under 12, and $7 for students. For more information, call the museum at (623) 972-0635.

The Smoking Section plays at the Stadium Grille, Orange Grove & Thornydale Rds., in Tucson, on Saturday, December 16th, from 9:00 pm until 12:30 am.
