The preliminary rounds of the 16th annual Arizona Blues Showdown will take place this Sunday, November 12th, beginning at 1:00 pm, at the Rhythm Room. Admission is only $5 for all day. The lineup for the two rounds is as follows:

NOTE: This schedule is subject to change. All times are approximate. Paris James' Death Letter CD has been named the "Best Self-Produced CD" in the contest held in conjunction with this year's Arizona Blues Showdown. Congratulations to Paris!
Chico Chism & the Flamekeepers are at Redfish, Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd. & Promenade in Scottsdale on Thursday, November 9th at 7:30 pm. The annual Harmonica Showcase, hosted by the Rocket 88s, takes place at the Rhythm Room on Thursday, November 9th, with more than 20 guest harmonica players appearing. Doors open at 7:00 pm. Bluzone will be at Hooper's Lounge, NW corner of 51st Ave. & Northern, Glendale, on Friday, November 10th, beginning at 9:00 pm. The band will then travel to Prescott on Saturday, November 11th for a show at Sundance's, located on Whiskey Row. Jimmy Peyton's Midnite Blues is at 26th Street Blues, 2547 E. Indian School Rd., on Friday, November 10th. Sistah Blue is at the Rhythm Room on Friday, November 10th. Big Nick & the Gila Monsters play the second part of a double bill at the Rhythm Room on Saturday, November 11th, with their show starting at 9:30 pm. Preceding the Gila Monsters show at 5:30 pm will be a CD release party featuring the Repeat Offenders. $6 gets admission to both shows. Cold Shott & the Hurricane Horns is doing two nights at Harrah's Ak-Chin in Maricopa on Friday & Saturday, November 10th & 11th, beginning both nights at 8:00 pm. -----------------------------------------------

The November meeting will be tied in to the
finals of the Arizona Blues Showdown on Sunday, November 19th.
Doors open at noon, the meeting will begin at 12:30 pm and music
starts at 1:00 pm.
