The August meeting will be held on Saturday, August 19th, at the Rhythm Room, with Sistah Blue providing the blues entertainment that night. Doors open at 8:00 pm with the meeting at 8:30 pm. PBS members get $1 off the regular $6 admission price for the show.
The Celebrity Theatre is offering PBS members $5 off any ticket to see Jonny Lang in concert when "Phoenix Blues Society" is mentioned either at the box office or via phone orders. The show is scheduled for Tuesday, October 3rd at 8:00 pm. Regular prices are $45 and $37.50. The offer is valid until September 1st and does not apply to online sales.
Blues legend Louisiana Red visits the Rhythm Room on Friday, August 18th. Jimmy Peyton's Midnite Blues is at 26th Street Blues, 2547 E. Indian School Rd., on Friday, August 18th. Cold Shott & The Hurricane Horns will be playing a special gig at Lake Pleasant Marina on Saturday, August 19th from 6:00 until 10:00 pm . Bluzone is playing every Thursday night at a new blues spot, JJ's Birdland, 21043 N. Cave Creek Rd., from 8:00 until 11:00 pm. JJ's also has a jam session every Wednesday night. Loose Cannons Blues Band is at Pappadeux's Seafood Restaurant, 11501 N. Black Canyon Highway, on Saturday, August 19th, 6:00 - 10:00 pm. Texas artist Guy Forsyth visits the Rhythm Room on Tuesday, August 22nd to help celebrate Mona's 10th anniversary with the club. Common Ground Blues Band plays Skipper's Lounge on Saturday, August 19th. King Gypsy Caravan holds down the fort at La Cabana, in Wickenburg, on Saturday, August 19th, from 9:00 pm until 1:00 am.

Mountain Amphitheater in Flagstaff. The show, to be held from 11:00
