The January meeting will be held on Sunday, January 15th at the Rhythm Room. It will be a post-holiday potluck and benefit fundraiser for our International Blues Challenge representatives, Tom Walbank and the Ambassadors and Danny Rhodes.
This will be a post-holiday potluck event and will run from 1:00 p.m.
to 5:30 p.m. Parents are encouraged to bring their children with
them to this event as well as a side dish for the afternoon. The
Society will be providing hot sandwiches for the event and our board
looks forward to having a chance to meet and talk with everyone in
the society. It would be helpful if you could RSVP to
info@phoenixblues.org so that we can get a rough count of how many
people to plan for brunch.
We are seeking acts, clubs, and other potential venues to host upcoming shows. We are also seeking your ideas, suggestions, and feedback to create fun, exciting events that will benefit the entire blues community. To volunteer or for more information, please contact Gil Andrews, Event & Membership Coordinator, at 602-670-5541 or by e-mail, and as always, thanks for keeping the blues alive. Check the list of Sponsors and discounts for the PBS membership meetings.

which they should be re-submitted if still applicable. *** Not your typical wannabe harp player ... I have my chops
down. Play Chicago-style blues harp ... somewhere between Little Walter,
Magic Dick, and Charlie McCoy. Although of mature years, I prefer my blues
with a youthful look and attitude and a rock edge. Don't mind jamming to
establish a chemistry. Would prefer to practice one or two days a week to
get a set list together and a sound down, eventually playing out one or two
nights a month. I'm also a competent lead guitarist, currently playing
part-time in a three piece blues rock band, so I can add some guitar chops
when necessary. Contact rmaack@cox.net ------------------------------------------ Blues Blast tickets now
