The June meeting will be held at the Rhythm Room on Thursday, June 16th beginning at 7:30 pm. Immediately following the meeting will be the annual Harmonica Showcase, hosted by the Rocket 88s and featuring over 20 different harmonica players.
Cold Shott & The Hurricane Horns is playing at CK's on Saturday, May 28th, beginning at 9:30 pm. Looking ahead to next weekend, the band will be at Shenanigan's, 1334 E. Chandler Blvd, on Friday, June 3rd and at the Kierland Commons (NW corner of Scottsdale Rd. & Greenway Parkway) summer concert series on Saturday, June 4th from 7:00 until 11:00 pm. Big Nick & the Gila Monsters will be performing in a free show at the Dobson Ranch Park music series, behind the Dobson Ranch Library in Mesa, on Tuesday, May 31st from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. One Class Act is playing two nights at Pat Murphy's on Friday & Saturday, May 27th & 28th, and then will be at Jay's Cocktail Lounge, 3208 W. Indian School Rd., on Saturday, June 4th at 9:00 pm. Common Ground Blues will be at Charly's in Flagstaff on Saturday, June 4th Loose Cannons Blues Band is appearing at the Wigwam Resort, located on the west side of Phoenix, every Friday in May from 8:00 until midnight, playing an entertaining mix of blues and jazz.. The Rhythm Room All-Stars, featuring The Chief, Chris James, Matt Bishop, Bob Corritore, Paul Thomas, Brian Fahey and special guest Big Pete Pearson will be at the Rhythm Room on Friday, May 27th.

The annual Silver City Blues Festival is scheduled for May 27-29 in Silver City, New Mexico. Among the national acts appearing will be The Holmes Brothers, David "Honeyboy" Edwards, Sherman Robertson, and Paul Geremia. Arizona acts on the bill include Sistah Blue, The Night Owls, and Stefan George and the Conrads.
